Michelle Acosta Law Firm, PLLC
Michelle T. Acosta is the founding attorney of Michelle Acosta Law Firm, PLLC in Houston, where she represents injured plaintiffs in motor vehicle, commercial trucking, premises liability, and intentional tort cases in Harris County and surrounding Texas courts. In 2025 she secured a $56 million verdict in Harris County. She is trained in the Gerry Spence Method, was named a 2025 and 2026 Super Lawyers Rising Star, and has been recognized as one of the National Trial Lawyers Top 25 Motor Vehicle Trial Lawyers in Texas. She served as Chair of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association Women's Caucus in 2024 and 2025.
Michelle is also that unusual trial lawyer who builds the technology she practices with. She has designed and written her own AI case management infrastructure, including document ingestion pipelines, a firm knowledge graph, and direct integrations with her case management system. Just as importantly, she wrote the house rules that govern it: a mandatory citation audit of every authority against the underlying opinion, confidence tiering on every proposition, independent Westlaw and Lexis verification before anything is filed, and full compliance with Texas courts' standing orders on generative AI. Her contribution to this panel comes from running a high-volume litigation practice on AI-assisted workflows while keeping the ethical, evidentiary, and confidentiality rails firmly in place.
Michelle is bilingual in English and Spanish, grew up in a diplomatic family across Latin America and Southeast Asia, and lives in Houston with her husband and their two daughters.
